Ribonucleotide

Ribonucleotides are the building blocks of the ribonucleic acid ( RNA). Together with the deoxyribonucleotides they are among the nucleotides. Ribonucleotides consisting of ribose sugar which the nucleobases adenine ( A) and guanine (G) ( Puringrundkörper ) or cytosine (C) and uracil ( U) ( Pyrimidingrundkörper ) are linked, and a phosphate moiety.

Monophosphates

In the food industry, mixtures of ribonucleotides can be used as a flavor enhancer and as a calcium 5'- ribonucleotide (E 634), disodium 5'- ribonucleotide (E 635 ) declared.
