Ricardo Piglia

Ricardo Piglia ( born 1941 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine writer and editor.

Life

Piglia studied, inter alia, History at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata. His doctoral studies, he had to stop not finish, when General Juan Carlos Onganía of 1966 coup to power. He got a job in publishing " Tiempo Contemporáneo " and served 1971-1975 as editor of the magazine " Literatura y Sociedad " and " Los Libros ". In addition to his function as editor he made during this period also known as a literary critic.
