Haroldo Conti

Haroldo Conti ( born May 25, 1925 in Chacabuco, Buenos Aires Province; † 1976? ) Was an Argentine university teacher and writer.

Life

Conti came from a politically active family; his father Pedro Conti was a partisan of Juan Perón and his movement ( Peronism ) and his mother Petronila Lombardi was union activities. He studied philosophy at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and was able to successfully complete this study in 1954.

The following year, Conti married in his hometown Dora Campos and had with her three children; Alejanda (* 1956), Marcelo and Ernesto (* 1976).

1962 could Conti successful with his novel " Sudeste " debut. After a few years he was invited by the State Institute of Culture of Cuba to Havana, but could take this trip after the Cuban missile crisis. Between 1967 and 1976 he worked as a lecturer in Latin at the Liceo Nacional N ° 7 in Buenos Aires.
