Rich Froning Jr., CrossFit Games 2012

Rich Froning Jr. ( born July 21, 1987 in Mount Clemens, Michigan ) is an American CrossFit athlete who thereby became famous that he is the first to CrossFit Games 2011, 2012 and 2013 consecutively won and that's why the title " Fitte Stermann the world " bears.

Life

Froning was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, and moved shortly thereafter with his parents in Cookeville, Tennessee. There he attended the Cookeville High School and began a career as a sports infielders in baseball. With his high school graduation in 2005 he received a baseball scholarship to the Walter State Community College. There he played another year, until he decided to give up his baseball career to work as a firefighter for the city of Cookeville and the way to continue his sports science degree at the Technical University of Tennessee. The city took over for his four -year commitment as a fireman his college costs. In studies, he first came into contact with Crossfit and started in 2009 to operate the active sports and work as Crossfit trainer.

Froning working as a strength and conditioning coach at the Technical University of Tennessee and travels for lectures around the country, in which he talks about CrossFit and its training principles.

Sports career

His competitive debut was Froning at the 2010 Crossfit Games and immediately took second place. The following year he won the Crossfit Games 2011 and the title of " Fitte Stermann the world." In 2012 and 2013 Froning defended his title. Froning is the first CrossFit athlete who won the Crossfit Games three times in a row. With the prize money, he opened his own Crossfit box in his hometown of Cookeville, Tennessee, where she works as a coach.

Froning is part of the U.S. team, with which he in 2012 and 2013 participated in the CrossFit Invitational and in 2012 won against Team Europe in London. In 2013 he lost in Berlin against Team World.
