Richard Breutner

Richard Breutner ( born September 10, 1979 in Johannesburg / South Africa) is a German fencer.

Breutner from 2005 to 2010 at the B national squad of the German Fencing Federation. Since 2008 he is challenging for the OFC Bonn, before he was the king Bacher FC active.

Achievements

Richard Breutner won the 1998 Junior World Championships in Valencia with the foil team in 1999 in Keszthely also with the team and in addition another individual silver. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, he finished in seventh place after a single 15-9 defeat in the quarter-finals against Frenchman Jean -Noël Ferrari. In the team competition, he finished with Ralf Bißdorf, Wolfgang Wienand and David Hausmann sixth place.

In 2002, he won the European Championship in Moscow bronze in the 2003 it was bronze in singles, 2004, he was European champion in singles. With the men's foil team of Peter Joppich, Benjamin Kleibrink and Dominik Behr he was runner-up at the World Championships in 2006 and 2008. Moreover, he took several places at the World Cup Final and the German Championships.
