Richard Bull (actor)

Richard Bull ( born June 26, 1924 in Zion, Illinois, † February 3, 2014 in Calabasas, California ) was an American actor. He appeared in nearly 100 television productions. His most famous depiction is that of Nels Oleson in the Little House series.

Life and career

Bull began his career shortly before the Second World War as a stage actor in Chicago. Before starring in the Little House, he played from 1964 to 1968 in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea the Doc ' on the submarine " Seaview ". After the end of the Little Farm acted in several series with Bull and got a friend of Michael Landon roles in many of his productions, as well as in Landon's last TV movie 1990 Where Pigeons Go to Die. He also starred in numerous commercials because of his gentle voice.

From 1948 until his death was married to Richard Bull of the actress Barbara Collentine (* 1924). In 2000, the couple played together in the Canadian film A Day in a Life. Bull and his wife lived in Chicago and worked as a painter off the acting. He died on February 3, 2014 in Calabasas, California from pneumonia.
