Richard Hamilton (actor)

Richard Hamilton ( born December 31, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, † December 21, 2004 in New York) was an American film and stage actor and radio announcer.

Life and career

Born in Illinois Hamilton grew up in California, where he attended Pasadena Junior College and the Pasadena Playhouse gained his first acting experiences. He also worked at various radio stations on the west coast before heading to New York, where he performed in off -Broadway and Broadway theaters. Among other things, he joined Sam Shepard's 1979 Pulitzer Prize - Price Units in Buried Child.

Since the 1960s, Hamilton also appeared in television and film productions. One of his most famous roles he had as an old agent Dee in the sci - fi comedy Men in Black on the side of Tommy Lee Jones.

Hamilton died in December 2004 at his home in the Catskill Mountains. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Morgan Hamilton, with whom he was married 50 years, as well as a daughter and a son.
