Richard Pottier
Richard Pottier (born Ernst German, born June 6, 1906 in Graz, Austria - Hungary, † November 2, 1994 in Le Plessis- Bouchard ) was a French film director and screenwriter.
Life
Pottier studied medicine, but this broke off and was 1929 Josef von Sternberg assistant at the Blue Angel, then at Dimitri Buchowetzki. Soon after, he went to France; initially for French language versions of internationally produced films. In 1934 he participated in its French pseudonym, and later citizenship. Until the early 1960s, he directed some 40 films, including numerous melodramas, costume films and adventurous fabrics, sometimes in Italian co-production.
