Richard Rossmanith

Richard Johann Roßmanith ( born March 16, 1955 in Monheim, County Donauwörth ) is a Lieutenant General of the Army of the Bundeswehr and since December 18, 2012 Commander of the command Operations Command or since 1 July 2013 Commander of the successor command Multinational Forces Operations Command in Ulm.

Military career

Training and first uses

Roßmanith took effect in July 1973 in the Bundeswehr at the Infantry Battalion 561 in Munich. From 1974 to 1977 he studied electrical engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. After that, he was employed until 1981 as a platoon leader in the Infantry Battalion 112 and up to 1985 as a company commander in the Infantry Battalion 112 in the rain.

Service as a staff officer

From 1985-87 Roßmanith participated in Hamburg on 28 general staff course at the Staff College. After that, he was head of department at the German Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee in Brussels.
