Richie Hearn

Richie Hearn ( born January 4, 1971 in Glendale, California ) is a retired American automobile racing driver.

In 1994 and 1995 he drove in the U.S. junior series Formula Atlantic, in 1995, he won the title. In 1996 he drove for Della Penna in both the Indy Racing League and in the Champ Car World Series. At the Indianapolis 500, he was third at the end of the year he won an IRL race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

In 1997 he went exclusively with the Champ Cars for Della Penna and with Budweiser as a sponsor known, but could retract any significant results. In 2000 he was replaced by Norberto Fontana, who brought more sponsor money. He took on a few more sweeps of the Indianapolis 500 in part, to the sixth rank in 2002 as the best result. After the Indianapolis 500 2005 he resigned as drivers from racing and set up his own race team Hearn Motorsports LLC, with whom he went to the starting line in the Star Mazda Series. In 2006, he planned to start with the team in Formula Atlantic. In 2007 he returned once to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and qualified for the Indianapolis 500 in a vehicle which was used jointly by racing professionals and Hemelgarn Racing.
