Rick Moranis

Frederick Alan Rick Moranis ( born April 18, 1953 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actor, comedian and musician.

Life

He became famous for the comedy show Second City TV, in which he played with Dave Thomas, the typical Canadian Bob & Doug McKenzie. In his first feature film in which he also directed, he attacked these two characters again. Addition to his success in movies such as Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters, Mel Brooks ' Spaceballs, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids or Flintstones - The Flintstones he was able to prevail as a DJ at several Canadian radio stations. In 1993, he participated as a lead actor in the music video for Tomorrows Girls by Donald Fagen.

After his wife died in 1991 from the effects of cancer, is in increasingly Moranis back from the film business to devote more attention to the education of his two children. In 1997, he was the last time before the camera and then took over only sporadically speaking roles.
