Riethnordhausen is a district of the municipality Wallenhausen in the district of Mansfeld - South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geographical Location

Riethnordhausen is located in the so-called Rieth in the lower Helmetal, northeast of the Kyffhäuser and southwest of the county town Sangerhausen, from a link road leads into the village, which intersects here with the leading of Kelbra after Artern road.

History

Riethnordhausen belonged until 1815 to the Official Sangerhausen the Kingdom of Saxony, and then got to the administrative district of the Prussian province of Saxony Merseburg. From 1952 to 1990 Riethnordhausen belonged to the East German district hall.

On 1 July 2009, the previously independent municipalities Riethnordhausen and Martinsrieth were incorporated to Wallenhausen.
