Rigoberto Cisneros

Rigoberto Dueñas Cisneros ( born August 15, 1953) is a former Mexican football player at the position of the defender.

Biography

Association

Cisneros began his professional career in 1974 in the service of CD Toluca and thus belonged to the Master squad of the season 1974/75, even if he had to frequently take on the substitutes' bench in his first season. Later, he also played for the CF Monterrey, the Universidad de Guadalajara and CD Guadalajara.

National

His international debut Cisneros celebrated in a discharged on February 15, 1978 friendly against El Salvador, which was won with 5:1. His final international match, he completed on 28 February 1980 the 0-1 defeat against South Korea.

His only international goal he achieved on 22 January 1980, when he scored the game-winning hit in a 1-0 victory against the selection of Czechoslovakia.

Highlight of his international career was the participation in the Football World Cup 1978, in which Cisneros, the last group match of the Mexicans against Poland (1:3) denied on June 10, 1978.
