Rita Simons

Rita Joanne Simons ( born March 10, 1977 in Essex, England) is a British actress, singer and model.

Life and career

Simon has an older brother named Ben and is the niece of the multi - millionaire businessman Alan Sugar. In March 2008, reported the British newspaper The Sun that Simon was suffering from scoliosis, which is why it is two inches shorter than it should be.

Before Simon pursued an acting career, she was a member of the British pop girl group Girls @ Play. The band consisted of only 2000 to 2001, but they covered at this time the song Respectable British pop duo Mel & Kim. After the band has dissolved, Simons was dedicated to her acting career and appeared in a 2002 episode of Dream Team on. Since 2007 she plays the role of Roxy Mitchell in the BBC television series EastEnders.

Personal

In August 2006, Simon married the hairdresser Theo Silveston that she met through a friend when she was 19 years old. The couple are parents of twins (* 2006).
