The Rittmann Hagen Lake is a lake in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg -Vorpommern. The main (northern ) part is located in the municipality Faulenrost, near the eponymous town. The smaller southern part, also called Lake Lans, located in the municipality Peene Hagen. The lake was formed in a glacial trough, by melt water below the ice took its present form during the Pomeranian stage of the Weichsel glaciation. Larger parts of the lakeshore are verschilft and mostly swampy. The Ostpeene ends in the south-east into the lake and leaves again in the north. On the east bank the woodlands, rotting wood roster.
