River Tame, Greater Manchester

The Tame is a river in the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester in North West England. It rises in Denshaw Moor on the border with West Yorkshire as one of the tributaries of the Readycon Dean reservoirs, flows along the Pennines and joins the Goyt in Stockport, then weiterzufließen as Mersey. The district Tameside is named after the river.
