The Trent in Nottingham
The Trent is with a length of 297 kilometers, the third longest river in Great Britain. The source is located at Biddulph Moor in the county of Staffordshire. The Trent flows through the Midlands and flows together with the Ouse in the open North Sea to the Humber estuary.
The Trent is the only river in England that flows ( at least in the second part of its course ) in a northerly direction. The main tributaries are the Derwent, Soar and Tame. The following cities are located on the river: Stoke-on -Trent, Burton -upon -Trent, Nottingham and Newark.
