"Federal Prize for Good Form " in 1971

Contact is a breeze in the form of a laying game by Ken Garland.

The game was first published by James Galt and Company in the United States as Rivers, Roads and Rails 1969. 1970, it was then published by Ravensburger in various editions as Connect or Contact. In 1982, the license was transferred to Ravensburger, 1984, there appeared in a new edition as Ravensburger Rivers, Road and Rails or contact with illustrations by Josef Löflath.

This game for two to ten people is suitable for children from the age of four years and takes about 20 minutes.

Game play and goal

At the beginning of the game each player receives a number of quadratic maps where three roads may be shown: river, railroad and road. The remaining cards are stacked. There are "straight" cards with connectors at opposite edges, "Curves" cards and two branches; can continue on each card end or begin roads. In turn each player can place a card ( provided that all roads fit ), then a card must be removed from the deck. The aim of the game is to get rid of the first all his cards.
