Robert Abbot (bishop)

Abbot Robert (* 1560, † March 2, 1618 ) was an English clergyman.

Abbot was from 1615 Bishop of Salisbury. He wrote De suprema potestate regia (London 1616), an eloquent apology of royal power in the sense of Stuartschen view.

Robert Abbot is the brother of George Abbot.
