Robert Coote

Robert Coote ( born February 4, 1909 in London, † November 26, 1982 in New York ) was a British actor.

Life

Coote, who played his first film role in Sally in Our Alley, was for some years in England on the stage, before he went to Hollywood. There he played until the Second World War in many films various supporting roles. During the war Coote served in the Canadian Air Force. After the war Coote starred in films such as The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. 1956 Coote landed the role of Colonel Pickering in the Broadway musical My Fair Lady.

In 1965 he was nominated for his role in the television series crook against crook for an Emmy.
