Robert E. Jager

Robert Jager ( born August 25, 1939 in Binghamton in upstate New York) is an American composer, music teacher and conductor.

From 1962 to 1965 he was arranger in the U.S. Navy Armed Forces School of Music. He completed his studies in 1968 at the University of Michigan. Subsequently, he was a lecturer in composition and conducting at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. In 1971 he was appointed professor at the Technological University of Tennessee in Cookeville.

He has received numerous prizes and awards for his works. Since 1980 he is a member of A.B.A. (American Bandmaster Association). As a guest conductor and lecturer at conferences and workshops, he is in demand in Canada, Europe, Japan and in many cities of the United States of America.
