Robert Ginty

Robert Ginty ( born November 14, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York, † 21 September 2009 in Los Angeles ) was an American actor, director and screenwriter.

Life

Robert Ginty studied acting at Yale University and came across local theater to Broadway, where he played 1972-1973 various supporting roles in Stephen Porter's revival of Molière's Don Juan. After moving to California, he received the mid-1970s first guest roles in the television series The Rockford Files - Just call and make-up and pistols. Between 1976 and 1978 he played a starring role in the series Pacific Squadron 214, thereafter he was seen until 1979 in 22 episodes of The Paper Chase. In 1978 he had his first major feature film role in the Oscar-winning Vietnam drama Coming Home - Coming Home.
