Robert Goff, Baron Goff of Chieveley

Robert Lionel Archibald Goff, Baron Goff of Chieveley, PC, FBA ( born November 12, 1926) is a British retired judge and life peer.

Life and career

His education was Goff at Eton College before he started studying at New College, where he graduated in 1953 with a Master of Arts and his doctorate in 1972.

Goff served from 1945 to 1948 in the Scots Guards.

At Lincoln College, University of Oxford, he was 1951-1955 Fellow and Tutor. In 1951 he was admitted into the Inner Temple as a lawyer. In 1975, he was there Bencher. Goff in 1967 Attorney-General.

Family

Goff comes from the family of the barons Davis - Goff, was born the second child of Lionel Trevor Davis - Goff and his wife Isobel Denroche -Smith and has an older sister. Since 1953, he is married to Sarah Cousins ​​, with whom he has two sons and two daughters. One of the sons had already died.
