Robert Grabarz

Robert Grabarz, often Robbie Grabarz, ( born October 3, 1987 in Enfield ) is a British athlete.

Grabarz belonged as a high jumper in the youth and junior level to advanced European top. So he took at the Junior World Championships in 2006 in twelfth place with 2.05 m. In the U23 European Championships in 2009, he finished with 2.18 m eleventh place. By the end of 2011, his personal best was 2.28 meters. The breakthrough to the world class he managed 21 January 2012 from hall meeting in Wuppertal, when he won the high jump competition with 2.34 m.

Outdoors is Grabarz improved initial June 2012 to 2.36 m. At the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki only Grabarz and the Lithuanians Raivydas Stanys crossed the height of 2.31 m, Grabarz won the title because of the lower number of failed attempts. At the Olympic Games in London, he won with a height of 2.29 m in front of the home crowd, the bronze medal.
