Robert Guédiguian
Robert Guédiguian ( born December 3, 1953 in Marseille ) is a French film director German - Armenian descent. Most of his films are based in Marseille social dramas with a strong sympathy for disadvantaged groups such as workers or immigrants. His most famous film in Germany is Marius and Jeannette - Love in Marseille ( 1997).
His awards include the Louis- Delluc Prize in 1997 for Marius and Jeanette - Love in Marseille and the Grand Prize Golden ear of Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid 2000 The city devours its children.
