Robert Joseph McManus

Robert Joseph McManus ( born July 5, 1951 in Providence ) is an American clergyman and Bishop of Worcester.

Life

Robert Joseph McManu received on 27 May 1978, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 1 December 1998 in Providence, and Titular Bishop of Allegheny. The Bishop of Providence, Robert Edward Mulvee, donated to him on 22 February of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Kenneth Anthony Angell, Bishop of Burlington, and Louis Edward Gelineau, Bishop Emeritus of Providence.

As a motto he chose Christ Veritatis Splendor. On 9 March 2004 he was appointed Bishop of Worcester, and introduced into the office on 14 May of the same year.
