Robert McGuckin

Robert McGuckin ( born January 28, 1944 in Marrickville, Australia), Bishop of Toowoomba.

Life

Robert McGuckin received on 20 October 1973 the Auxiliary Bishop of Sydney, James Patrick Carroll, the sacrament of ordination to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Sydney. 1993 McGuckin was incardinated into the clergy of the Diocese of Parramatta.

May 14, 2012 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. Bishop of Toowoomba. The Archbishop of Brisbane, Mark Coleridge, donated to him on 11 July of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Australia, Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto, and the Bishop of Parramatta, Anthony Fisher OP.
