Robert N. Bradbury

Robert North Bradbury ( born March 23, 1886 in Walla Walla, Washington; † November 24, 1949 in Glendale, California ), actually Ronald Bradbury, was an American film director, screenwriter and film producer, who staged a total of 125 feature films 1918-1941.

Life

Bradbury moved to the end of the 1910s around with a vaudeville show, before the family settled in Hollywood. He began his film career in 1916, when his first screenplay titled Along the Malibu was filmed as a silent film. Two years later he led for the first time in the Western The Wooing of Riley Director. He led during the silent film era in a variety of films directed, often he also wrote the screenplay for. In 1920, he turned with his sons Bill Bradbury and Bob Steele the adventure film The Adventures of Bob and Bill, the 13 other films followed in itself cast. Between 1933 and 1935 he made 13 films with the young John Wayne, who had once been a classmate of his son at the Glendale High School.
