Robert Nyholm

Robert Nyholm ( born March 7, 1988 in Pietarsaari ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who, since 2008 stands at Vaasan Sport in Mestis, the second highest league in Finland under contract.

Career

Robert Nyholm began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of HIFK Helsinki, where he was active until 2006. In 2006 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected in the fifth round as the 129th overall player of the Columbus Blue Jackets, for which, however, he never played. Instead, the winger ran from 2006 to 2008 for the Kingston Frontenacs in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League on. For the season 2008/ 09 he returned to HIFK Helsinki for the first team, he has since then played in the SM- liiga. In the 2010/11 season he won the Finnish Championship title with the team. Parallel to the game Operation with HIFK of the links Sagittarius from 2008 to 2012 ran regularly as Players out on loan for Kiekko -Vantaa on in the second-rate Mestis.

Internationally

For Finland Nyholm took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 2005 and 2006. At the 2006 U-18 World Cup, he won the silver medal with his team.
