Robert Swenson

Robert Alexander Swenson, Jr., better known as Jeep Swenson ( born January 5, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas; † August 18, 1997 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor, wrestler and stuntman. The general public he is best known as the Bane cast in a Batman movie. Swenson died shortly after the release of his last film appearance of heart failure.

Career

Wrestling

Swenson began his wrestling career in 1987 as Jeep the Mercenary in the native to Texas promotion World Class Championship Wrestling. He was accompanied by manager Gary Hart and worked mainly in a feud with Bruiser Brody program. In the early 1990s he had some appearances before he found in the Global Wrestling Federation based in Dallas 1996 under the name The Ultimate Solution as a member of the Dungeon of Doom in WCW. But precisely because of its extreme physique he was wrestlerisch very limited and it remained for a few appearances.

Boxing

Swenson tried twice unsuccessfully as a boxer. His first fight in 1983 ended after only 57 seconds with a defeat by TKO against the otherwise winless and about 34 kg lighter Frank Garcia. In 1996 he held against the Finns by Tony Halme 2:28 min, before losing by knockout.

Play-acting

With its impressive stature Swenson received in 1980 his first film role in the Jackie Chan film The big brawl. He was allowed His largest and most famous role as the masked villain Bane in the film Batman & Robin.
