Robert Taube

Robert Dove ( born March 15, 1880 in Riga, † August 18, 1964 in Berlin) was a German theater and film actor.

Life

Robert Dove, who completed his acting training in Berlin, made ​​his debut in 1903 in Offenburg. After engagements in Rottweil, Tallinn, Riga, Lübeck, Elberfeld, Cologne and Hanover, he was obliged in 1917 to the Municipal Theater Frankfurt, where he played with interruptions until 1939. In the premiere of the Urfaust without scenes he played Mephistopheles in the Roman Mountain Festival 1934, he convinced than Wallenstein. Since 1939 dove appeared in Berlin at the Deutsches Theater.

In addition, Robert Dove participated in first silent movies and later in radio and television films in the 20s.
