Robert Teichmüller

Robert Teichmüller ( born May 4, 1863 in Braunschweig, † May 6, 1939 in Leipzig) was a pianist and university professor.

Life and work

Robert Teichmüller studied piano and music theory with Carl Reinecke at the Conservatory in Leipzig, where he later worked as a university teacher. Teichmüller conducted from 1897 where the piano training. In 1908 he was appointed professor. He was one of the most influential piano teachers of his time. To his circle of students were Günther Ramin, Sigfrid Karg- Elert, Kurt Hessenberg, Rudolf Wagner- Régeny, Paul Aron, Rudolf Mauersberger and Herbert Albert.

Teichmüller was also editor of revised editions piano by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Max Reger. He was with Kurt Hermann author in 1927, first published in " International Modern piano music."
