Robert Weimar

Robert Weimar ( born May 13, 1932 in Cologne, † February 28, 2013 ) was a German legal scholar and psychologist.

Life

Robert Weimar studied law at the universities of Cologne, Bonn, Heidelberg, Innsbruck, Bern and Basel, management science at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer (DHV ) and psychology at the Universities of Heidelberg and Basel. The First State Law Examination in 1956 he laid off at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne, the second state examination in law in 1960 at the Regional Judicial Examination Office in Dusseldorf. At the University of Basel he passed the licentiate examination ( lic.iur.utr. ) And received his doctorate in 1965 with Karl Spiro in Basel doctor iuris utriusque. In 1967 Hans Kunz promotion for Philosophiae Doctor et artium magister liberalium the University of Basel. Under Martin Hautzinger (Tübingen ) Weimar government acquired the authorization to exercise psychotherapy (Mainz 1995). Internationally oriented postgraduate studies completed Weimar with the LL.M. ( University of Heidelberg) with Erik Jayme and the LL.M. ( University of Basel) at Ernst August from Kramer ( 2001). Later Weimar Heidelberg psychology doctoral followed with Joachim Funke ( 2006) and the Dr. rer. publ. at DHV Speyer at Waldemar Schreckenberger ( 2009).

Weimar was seconded from 1964 to 1968 as a judge of the State of North Rhine -Westphalia to the federal court in Karlsruhe, after he had been appointed in 1961 a judge of the District Court of Cologne. In 1968 he was appointed Judge at the Higher Regional Court Dusseldorf and 1970 to 1972 the secondment to the Federal Constitutional Court. From 1974 until his retirement in 1994 Robert Weimar was a professor of Civil Law, Commercial and Business Law at the University of Siegen. Calls to Münster and Dortmund he refused. For many years he was examiner in the state examination at the examination office of Justice of the Higher Regional Court of Dusseldorf. From 1994 to 2006 Weimar was a German lawyer and partner of an internationally oriented law firm in the composite of Consulegis ( Zurich ). Weimar, who held several visiting professorships, also taught at the Universities of Cologne, Karlsruhe, Dusseldorf, Lüneburg, Heidelberg, Krems and Vienna. Recently conducted research and taught at the Ruprecht -Karls- University of Heidelberg.

Robert Weimar was honorary doctorate from the Moscow State Pedagogical University ( MPGU ). He produced more than 400 publications on civil law, commercial, corporate and business law and the legal theory, jurisprudence, neuroscience and psychology. Weimar was Editor of Series Business Law and economic constitution of the Institute for Law and Economics legislative victories, publisher of the writings on the neuro -law, co-editor of the travaux scientifiques de la Faculté Européenne des Sciences du Foncier Strasbourg, co-founder of the theory and practice - Contributions to the total land law, co-editor of the contributions the general legal and political theory, co-founder of the Salzburg writings on legal, political and social philosophy, co-editor of the writings on legal psychology (SRP ) and co-editor of the writings on Humanitäts and happiness research. Weimar was a founder (1991 ) and former board member ( 1991-2008 ) of the European Institute for Forensic Psychology in Zurich. Since 2003 he works as a research coordinator at the Robert Weimar Institute ( RWI) Bonn - Research Institute for Neuro jurisprudence. From 2010 he was President of the International Academy of Coaching Science ( IACW ), Zurich, and president of the International Forum of counseling science ( IFBW ), Zurich.

Research fields

Weimar dealt with the German and European Economic Law and Legal Theory, in addition to the psychological and neuroscientific foundations of thought and decision-making ( see neuro- jurisprudence, neuro - Administratics, Neurocognition of Decision, legal psychology ). His basic scientific position is marked in its apparently classic of legal psychology work " Psychological structures by judicial decision " (1969, reprint 1996). Weimar's central thesis is that we have a reality only mediated by interpretations and fades access (ways of world making ). Weimar was also the founder of the academic discipline legal advice teaching ( doctrine of legal advising ), which is established in the law schools since the lawyer -oriented view opening of legal education. Worldwide new was his latest interdisciplinary research field Neuro- Wealth Management.
