Robert Wolders

Robert Wolders ( born September 28, 1936 in Rotterdam, South Holland Province), is a former Dutch actor.

Life

Wolders began his career as an actor in 1965 with a guest appearance in an episode of the television series Flipper. The following year, he had three foreign legionnaires in the adventure film his feature film debut opposite Telly Savalas and Leslie Nielsen. In 1967, he starred opposite Rock Hudson and George Peppard in the war movie Tobruk. In the same year he received the role of Erik Hunter in the second season of the western series Laredo; but this was discontinued after the end of the second season. As a result, he had more guest appearances in series such as Solo for Oncel and Bewitched. In 1973 he played the younger lover of Merle Oberon in the feature film Interval; two years later he married the 25 years old actress and withdrew from the spectacle business.

After the death of his wife in 1979, he was from 1980 life companion of Audrey Hepburn, who in 1981 divorced Andrea Dotti. Both lived henceforth together in Rome and Tolochenaz and pulled together Hepburn's son Luca on. Wolders Hepburn accompanied on their travels for UNICEF and remained until her death in 1993 at her side. He moved then to Rochester, where he was responsible for his mother. Between 1994 and 1995 he was associated with Leslie Caron.
