Robert Z. Aliber

Robert Aliber Zelwin ( born September 19, 1930 in Keene, New Hampshire) is an American economist and an emeritus professor.

Career, teaching and research

Aliber studied at Williams College and Cambridge University. After he graduated in a Bachelor of Arts, he completed in 1957 his Master of Arts degree in Cambridge. He then moved to Yale University, where he in 1962 as a Ph.D. completed.

Aliber was the scientific operation faithful and joined in 1965 the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. Here he remained until his retirement in 2004 and excelled particularly through the creation and development of the Center for Studies in International Finance.
