Roberto Carlos (singer)

Roberto Carlos Braga ( born April 19, 1941 in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espírito Santo ) is a Brazilian singer and for over 50 years active as such.

Life

Early in his career he was a big fan of Elvis Presley and, therefore, also made rock music. In the 60s, he starred in three films, which strongly oriented to the Beatles movies. At the time he was a youth idol in Brazil.

Since the 1970s, Roberto Carlos sings mainly soulful love songs. With romantic, sensitive lyrics and melodies he has a very large following throughout Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Italy provides.
