Roberto Formigoni

Roberto Formigoni ( born March 31, 1947 in Lecco) is an Italian politician and senator. He was 1995-2013 President of the Lombardy Region. Berlusconi's Forza Italia He belonged to ( Popolo della Libertà 2008-2013 ). Then he joined the Nuovo Centrodestra.

Life

Formigoni studied philosophy and economics in Milan and Paris. Politically active since 1973, he was in 1984 as a deputy of the Christian Democracy (DC) elected to the European Parliament, its vice- president, he was after his reelection in 1989. To the Italian Parliament, he moved in 1987 a. From 1993 to 1994 he held the post of Secretary of State in the Ministry of Environment.
