Roberto Juarroz

Roberto Juarroz ( born October 5, 1925 in Coronel Dorrego, Buenos Aires Province; † 31 March 1995 Temperley, Buenos Aires Province) was an Argentine poet and writer.

Life

Roberto Juarroz studied library science at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and was able to complete this study in 1958. It joined in 1961 and 1962 further studies with scholarship to the Sorbonne.

From 1962 to 1991 he was a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, still director of the Department of Library Science ( without year ), and editor of the journal Poesía = Poesía ( 1958-1965 ).

Andreas Dorschel calls the " philosophical poetry " Roberto Juarroz ' " clear and dark " at the same time, and praises her " lightness and metaphysical wit" after.
