Robin Ticciati

Robin Ticciati (* 1983 in London, England ) is a British conductor and conducts the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

Ticciati since the beginning of the season 2009/2010 Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. In addition, he has been active since 2010 until the end of the season 2013 [ deprecated] as Principal Guest Conductor of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra - Bavarian State Philharmonic. Artistic Career

Trained as a violinist, pianist and drummer, Robin Ticciati turned at the age of 15 years to the conducting, even as he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. His supporters include Sir Colin Davis and Sir Simon Rattle. Even in his time as a student at St. Paul 's School, he conducted the John Colet Singers in a variety of works.

2002 was awarded " Most Outstanding Musician of the Year" Robin Ticciati as a member of the National Youth Orchestra with the Arthur Belgin Medal. In 2005 he received the Borletti - Buitoni Trust Fellowship.

With its debut at the Filarmonica della Scala in June 2005 Robin Ticciati became the youngest conductor who was standing in the history of La Scala conducting. In the summer of 2006, he conducted Mozart's Il sogno di Scipione at the Salzburg Festival.

From 2006 to 2009 he served as chief conductor of the Gävle Symphony Orchestra in Sweden from 2007 to 2009 he was music director of " Glyndebourne on Tour", the touring company of Glyndebourne Festival.
