Röblinsee

The Roblinsee is a natural lake in the LSG Fürstenberger forest and lake area or in the nature park Uckermärkische lakes in the district of Upper Havel (Brandenburg).

Geographical location and Hydrographic

The lake has an east-west extent of about two miles and a width of up to 500 meters. The lake level is on average to 52.6 m above sea level. NHN. In the northwest the Havel flows to and on the east side from back in the direction Baalensee. History

The lake is already being first mentioned in documents in 1299 ( as " Stagnum Roebelin "); he belonged to the monastery initial Himmelpfortgrund. Probably the lake got its name from a lakeside town called Röblin, which is derived from a Slavic personal name robola.

The Roblinsee is part of the 97 -kilometer-long federal waterway Upper Havel Waterway ( OHW ) of the waterway class I; responsible is the Waterways and Shipping Office Eberswalde.

The Roblinsee is passable for motor sport boats, but only in the designated with tons fairway.
