Rockwell (musician)

Rockwell ( born March 15, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan, USA, as Kennedy William Gordy ) is an American R & B singer, who was standing at the record label Motown under contract and is the son of Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr..

Life

According to the official announcement Rockwell ended his contract with Motown from without the knowledge of his father in order to avoid accusations of nepotism. For this reason, he also used the stage name " Rockwell", what was the name of his former school band.

In the spring of 1984, he landed with the self- written song Somebody's Watching Me his first and only big hit. He was supported by his childhood friends Michael and Jermaine Jackson, who sang the chorus.
