The metal band Warmen was founded jointly by the Children -of- Bodom keyboardist Janne " Warman " Wirman with Sami Virtanen and Mirka Rantanen in 2000. 2002 also came Jannes brother Antti Wirman added to the band.

Style

Stylistically, the band in the region or Progressive Metal Melodic Metal is located. Keyboards and synthesizers are very dominant and leading melody. The majority of the results presented is purely instrumental pieces.

An existing on all the albums theme is the alleged animosity between composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, as it is treated in the film Amadeus, among others. In addition to original quotes from the movie is on every album a virtuoso played piece for keyboard harpsichord in the style of Salieri ( Salieri Strikes Back, Return of Salieri, Warcry of Salieri ). In addition, can also be found in the song titles allusions to the movie ( Too Many Notes, Beyond Abilities ).

Biography

So far the band has released four albums on the market: Unknown Soldier ( 2000), Beyond Abilities (2002), Accept the Fact (2005) and Japanese Hospitality ( 2009). All albums released under the label Spinefarm Records.

For all albums Janne Warman has consistently invited prominent guests, such as Kimberly Goss ( Sinergy ), Timo Kotipelto ( Stratovarius ), Roope Latvala, who has played in Waltari and To / Die / For guitar, or Jari Kainulainen ( bassist with Stratovarius ). In the 2005 released as a single song Somebody's Watching Me from the album Accept the Fact even Warmans bandmate of Children of Bodom Alexi Laiho took over the vocals.
