Rodan

Rodan (Japaneseラドン, radon ) is a Kaiju from the Toho film studio. Rodan had his first appearance in the 1956 film of the same name.

Description

The design of the monster changed over the years again and again. The basis of the pterosaurs but has been retained. While in the Shōwa season, the appearance of a pterosaur was even stronger, the appearance changed radically in the Heisei season. Here he was monstrous and larger. Name

Rodan or radon is a compilation from the syllables ra and don, as they occur in a Pteranodon Flugsaurierart. Also Radon is a radioactive, chemical element.
