Rodolfo González Pacheco

Rodolfo González Pacheco ( born August 9, 1882 in Tandil, Buenos Aires Province; † July 5, 1949 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine anarchist, journalist and writer.

Already as a teenager González Pacheco was politically interested and engaged. Early on, he began to be interested in the ideas and theories Bakunis and Kropotkin. But the Carbonari movement, Errico Malatesta and Pietro Gori took his interest.

He was active in the anarchist movement and also worked in the editorial offices of different political newspapers and magazines such as " La Protesta ", " Tribuna Proletaria " and others Later, he also served often as a responsible publisher of this magazine.

Since these newspapers and magazines were often banned by the censorship, also González Pacheco came more often in detention. As the end of 1935 threatened another arrest, he fled into exile in Spain. The following year, he joined the Republican Party and fought in the Spanish Civil War.

In the summer of 1939, González Pacheco returned to Buenos Aires and settled as a freelance writer. Five weeks before his 67th birthday died González Pacheco on July 5, 1949 and there was also his last resting place.
