Roger Guerreiro

Roger Guerreiro ( born May 25, 1982 in São Paulo, Brazil ) is a Polish footballer of Brazilian origin.

Club career

His career started in 2000 with the Brazilian club Guerreiro AD São Caetano. In his country of birth of left-back was then active from July 2002 to the end of 2003 for Corinthians, and then half a year for Flamengo Rio de Janeiro. In the season 2004/ 05 he played at Celta Vigo in Spain. In 2006 he moved from EC Juventude to Legia Warsaw in the Polish Ekstraklasa, where he advanced into midfield. In Poland, he graduated from 2006 to 2009 a total of 101 league games and scored 19 goals. In August 2009 he moved to Greece for AEK Athens. In his first three seasons in Greece, Roger Guerreiro was only a substitute and came infrequently used. Since the 2012/2013 season, he is, however, undisputed master players and even team captain.

In the summer of 2013, his contract was not renewed by the Greeks, and he was for a time without a club until he was signed by the Brazilian second division Guaratinguetá Futebol on 28 September 2013. There were problems with the game permission for Guerreiro, he was not reported in time for the game operation and changed on January 1, 2014 Comercial Futebol Clube to Ribeirão Preto, where he participates in the State of São Paulo championship.

National

Guerreiro received on 17 April 2008, Polish citizenship and was included in the extended squad for the Euro 2008.

His international debut was Guerreiro on 27 May 2008 against Albania in Reutlingen. One day later, he was nominated by coach Leo Beenhakker for the Euro 2008. In Vienna in the second group match against hosts Austria, he scored his first goal for the Polish team.
