The western Moorgrund at Mohra

The trench is a 6,6 km long, orographic right tributary of the river Werra in Thuringia in Germany. He is a natural outflow of the swampy ground near Bad Salzungen.

Course

The trench begins in the lowlands south of Mohra ( the former agricultural airfield ) and initially runs in a westerly direction, the terrain profile following, near the small settlement Hetzenberg, then bends in a short arc in southern direction from and flows on Röhrigshof over to the former estate Oberrohn. From there, the pipe trench as a natural creek meanders through the narrow valley on the western edge of the wooded ridge winter box and reaches the level of the local situation of Unterrohn the floodplains of the river Werra.

Name

The waters name to have been derived from the reed plants. The Röhrigshof is named after the river, just as the original three courtyards upper - middle and Unterrohn.
