Rolf Kaarby

Rolf Kaarby (* October 6, 1909; † 7 March 1976) was a Norwegian Nordic skier.

Kaarby first appeared at the first trial competition on February 5, 1934 on the newly built Grand Olympic ski jump in Garmisch -Partenkirchen internationally in appearance. He reached in front of 5,000 spectators at 70 meters, the largest width. Three years later he won the silver medal in singles, the combination behind compatriot Sigurd Røen at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1937 in Chamonix -Mont- Blanc. Barely a month later, he jumped at the first competition on the Tremplins Olympique in Les Launes on February 21, 1937 the first hill record of 58 meters.
