Rolls-Royce Power Systems

The Rolls- Royce Power Systems AG ( Jan 2014 Tognum ) is a supplier of diesel engines, complete propulsion and power systems around the core company MTU Friedrichshafen, based in Friedrichshafen. The company of Rolls- Royce Power Systems Group provide drives for ships, rail cars, heavy land vehicles and industrial machinery and generator applications based on diesel engines, gas engines and gas turbines.

History

In December 2005, DaimlerChrysler sold its MTU Friedrichshafen for 1.6 billion euros to the Swedish private equity group EQT.

EQT then formed in July 2006, the Tognum GmbH as a holding company with MTU as a core company. The holding company originally held the shares in the company MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH, MDE Decentralized Energy Systems GmbH, CFC Solutions GmbH, L' Orange GmbH and Rotorion. In April 2007, Kato- was acquired. On 1 January 2008, finally, the SKL Motor GmbH was taken over by the Tognum. MTU Onsite Energy

The umbrella brand MTU Onsite Energy was launched in September 2008 to life. In it, all the activities of decentralized energy production are bundled. Korea affair
