Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate of Anatolia

The Apostolic Vicariate of Anatolia (Latin: apostolicus Vicariatus Anatoliensis ) is located in Turkey Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in İskenderun.

History

The Apostolic Prefecture of Trebizond was built from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Konstantin Opel on 13 March 1845, the Capuchins, who were expelled from the mission in Tbilisi by the Russians entrusted. It included the coastal region on the Black Sea (which is why she was known as the Apostolic Prefecture of the Black Sea) and in Central and Eastern Anatolia.
