Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bouaké

The Archdiocese of Bouaké (Latin: Archidioecesis Buakensis ) is a Roman Catholic archdiocese headquartered in Bouaké in the Ivory Coast. It includes the départements Béoumi, Bouaké and Sakassou in the region Vallée du Bandama and the departments M'Bahiakro and Daoukro in the region N'zi - Comoé.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded with the Bull Quo fructuosius the Apostolic Prefecture on May 17 in 1951 of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate of Abidjan.

On September 14, 1955, she was charged with the Apostolic Constitution Dum Tantis to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Abidjan is a suffragan. With the Apostolic Constitution Quo aptius it was collected on 19 December 1994 in the rank of Metropolitanerzbistums.
